The Lyceum

Clinical standards and editorial accountability.

Who is responsible for the information on this website?

The Lyceum Clinic is a private CBT practice led by Sanah Younis, a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist. Sanah is responsible for the clinical content published on this website, including service pages, clinical guides and practice information. Her BABCP membership number is 1000792. Her current public register entry can be checked directly through the BABCP therapist register. The clinic's head office is 71 75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. This is an administrative address. Face to face appointments are offered at the listed therapy venues in Chiswick, Ealing and the Richmond venue, subject to current practical arrangements. Online appointments may also be available. A venue address is not a substitute for checking practical arrangements before travelling or booking. This website is designed to help people understand common therapy questions, prepare for an enquiry and find reliable next steps. It cannot diagnose, assess risk, recommend a treatment plan or decide whether a particular therapy is suitable for an individual. Those decisions need a fuller conversation with an appropriately qualified professional who can consider the relevant context. Where clinical evidence or professional guidance is discussed, the aim is to use primary or authoritative sources where practical, including NICE guidance, professional body material and peer reviewed literature. Sources are identified on longer clinical guides. Evidence changes over time, and a source in a guide is not a promise that the same outcome, pace or approach will apply to every person. Clinical guides and service information are attributed to Sanah Younis and reviewed when a page is substantially updated. Each page should make its author, purpose and update information clear. Our editorial standard is to use British English, distinguish education from individual advice, avoid unsupported outcome claims and describe uncertainty where it matters. Technical publishing, accessibility and quality assurance tools may support the preparation of website content. They do not replace clinical judgement. Clinical claims, therapeutic framing and safety wording remain subject to accountable human review before publication. A page can explain a concept such as intrusive thoughts, feeling low, fatigue, sleep anxiety or burnout. It cannot tell you why those experiences are happening or whether they amount to a diagnosis. Physical symptoms, new symptoms, severe symptoms or symptoms that are changing should not automatically be attributed to anxiety or stress. Seek appropriate medical advice where that is relevant. Exposure based work, including ERP, is never presented here as a self directed challenge. If it may be clinically appropriate, it should be considered collaboratively after assessment with a suitably qualified clinician. Therapy information on the site is not emergency care. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999 or attend A&E. Samaritans can be reached on 116 123 in the UK and Ireland. Current session information is published on the fees page. The listed fees are £110 for an online session and £140 for a face to face session, unless different current arrangements are confirmed directly. Insurance and cash plan contributions can depend on an individual policy, authorisation process, practitioner requirements and payment route. The Lyceum does not promise what an insurer or plan will contribute. A consultation or enquiry is a chance to discuss practical arrangements and whether a fuller assessment may be appropriate. It is not a guarantee of availability, treatment, reimbursement, clinical outcome or a particular number of sessions. If you spot information that appears inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, please tell us. We will consider a correction against the available evidence and update the page where appropriate. The Lyceum does not publish fabricated reviews, clinical outcomes, patient stories or ratings. Any independent profile, directory or review platform is responsible for its own content and moderation process. The clinic's privacy information explains how contact information is handled. Website content is educational and is not sponsored medical advice. If a future page includes a relevant relationship, commercial interest or external contribution, that relationship should be made clear on the page. You can verify Sanah Younis on the BABCP register, read the therapist profile, check practical fee information or contact the clinic with a question about this page. A contact message cannot replace a clinical assessment or urgent support.
